Whoa what a week.

I'm ridiculously behind in my blogging, I may as well just go froth from this point!

We've acheived much this week. We're not quite done on the swingset, but we are close, maybe 4 steps of 35 left (we sort of skipped around and did things that were more important to us first. We have a few of the finishing touches to put on, and the walls around the sandbox part, which seem sort of optional). We got two of our raised beds built, and trimmed the largest branches out of our front hedge (I think it's privet), still need to top it off at the top though. Maybe tomorrow, if the weather cooperates. We hosted a potluck at our house this evening, so we even got a good bit of cleaning done around the house. All in all, spring break was very good for us, productivity-wise. And it was wonderful having Ali home all week, we spent so much time working together as a family!

A few memorable quotes from the kids:
Leila was singing a song from the Leapfrog Talking Word Factory, and quoted "zat's not a word!" and I said, "well actually, zat is an onomatopoeia", and she looked at me and said, "Mom, I can't talk right now".... I guess she's not ready for complex grammar definitions. :D

Elyas was laying in bed, going to sleep and he was making his two little loveys kiss. I said "aw, are Butterscotch and Scorch kissing?" and he said "no, they are playing baseball!" I think the little guy isn't quite sure what baseball is!

Your children are hilarious!

The privet hedge might be the one that has dark blue berries, called "Nanny berries"...for real! I heard about those when I was in Ohio.

Let's see if we can "Skype" this week. Any chance for a session on Thursday or Friday?

Love,

Nanny

Yikes I hate that you can't just go back and edit when you make a spelling error...I have to delete the comment!

Anyway, your accomplishment list this week makes me tired just reading it...but it sounds like life is good. Hooray!

Love,
Suzy

Nan, my camera isn't behaving properly, so it has to be a time Ali is home with his laptop. Maybe early Friday morning, what time would you be up and ready for that sort of thing?
