Ah, my Leila. She has a new trick.. she thinks it's really, really hilarious to try to blink while I'm taking a picture of her! I've gotten some great ones of her by snapping right after she blinks, because then she gives me a real smile. I'll take what I can get. Her hair, though it doesn't appear to, is actually growing. The longer it gets, the curls just snap right up... it stays at shoulder length, but it's actually down below her shoulder blades.No chick deaths yet. I'm on constant chick-butt check (to watch for pasty butt, a condition where diarrhea dries over the vent, and they can die very quickly from an inability to poop! What a horrid way to die! I have had to clean off a good number of butts on a regular basis).
