What a great day! Today my little man turned two. I can hardly believe it. It seems that it was just a few months ago I was holding that little lump in my arms (constantly... oh wait, it's still pretty constant).
We had a busy one: took the kids to the library in the morning, because I knew that would make Elyas happy. We came home, had some Annie's Arthur pasta, and then headed up for a nap (for both of them!). I tried to get through making cupcakes while they slept, but I hadn't even melted the chocolate (just about the first step!) before Elyas woke up. We had friends over for a playdate, and then headed up to the Old Country Buffet for his birthday dinner. Afterwards we came home and opened gifts, Elyas was SUPER excited about both his tool bench and the tractor, though really, the tractor won. We opened gifts with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Kevie over skype. It was our first long-distance birthday, wasn't easy. :(
