Day 68 of 365; Leila demonstrates her headstand:

69 of 365; Leila loves on the chickens, who are getting soooo big!:

70 of 365; these are the longies I made that week, with Elyas going into undies, I find that the felted wool longies make accidents easier to handle.

73 of 365; by some stroke of inspiration, Ali put up his Sky Chair on the front porch. I think he's had it for 4 or 5 years? We've never had a place to put it up, so this is a long time coming! I think he was eying this spot on the porch before we had our purchase agreement signed. :)
74 of 365; The offset of our "work week" Spring break! The weather cooperated perfectly with us, yay!
Leila lounges in the sun before we start any construction (though at this point we have already done most of the ground leveling where we're going to put the swingset).
Elyas helps bring out some pieces of wood for the swingset
Here's the yard "before". One thing I love about our house is the property backs up to a historic property that is well kept, but quiet. :)75 of 365: Monday's achievement.
76 of 365: Tuesday's work. We've found it's difficult to get a whole lot done in one day, when you have only one drill, and the charge only lasts for so long. But we have a picnic table and a portion of the upper deck!
77 of 365: We got SO far today. ;) Finished the deck, and built the ladder.

Actually, we did pretty good. While Elyas napped in the stroller, I built the raised beds (well, two of my 5 that I will make this year. I thought I'd start small: these two will be enough for my cool-weather crops. I'll add more in about a month).

My raised beds (doing the square-foot method), and the progress in the yard.

78 of 365: Moving along...
79: A picture of our silly Leila!

80 of 365: We aren't finished, but we are a lot closer! We got the swings on Saturday morning! The kids were SO excited! We got a bit more done after this pic, and then got to preparing some food and our house for a homeschooling network potluck

81 of 365: Sunday morning cartoon watching. It was a rainy day, and we had a long week, so we just chilled at home all day long. It was quite nice!

82 of 365: Finally, caught up to today! Phew! Here is a picture of the snowdrops that are coming up all around the yard.

And then a load of pictures of the kids playing!

Phew... that's all I have to say on that. Now I'm going upstairs to read Eldest. :D

ADorable pictures and what a nice home you are preparing for your family! They should be so happy and contented with the place to relax, to nurture and grow chickens and plants, to recreate, to stretch brains and muscles! I only wish we were closer together!
Love,
Nanny
