What a beautiful day it was today! We spent about 4 hours total outside today. The weather makes me long for spring, for time spent outdoors. I always feel so energized by the sun in the spring (though I have to say, Iowa winters are colder than Washington's, but they are lighter: the sun shines, it's not months and months of grey. I think it's easier to deal with!). I find my mind frequently turning to ideas of gardening, of getting our chicks, of outdoor adventures. I know it's quite possible we'll get more snow before this winter is over, but I'm happy to have my driveway melted, and it will be manageable if it should snow again. I can't wait to get the kids' swingset and let the kids go crazy outside, playing there all afternoon. I think they will be much happier that way too!
