I'm ready to emmigrate

I think I can sing O Canada… or how about God Save the Queen? I could learn Le Marseillaise.

I finally got a chance to watch Sicko yesterday. I’m so ready to give up on the US… So many things have been building up to this… but, government-sent nanny who will do your laundry! I’m freakin’ in! Vive le France! I could learn French, I’m good with languages.

Seriously though, we NEED to fix our broken system. I say this after spending Friday paying off all my outstanding medical bills from the previous year with our tax return. We HAVE insurance, but still had over $3000 in bills left from last year alone, and that’s not including Elyas’ stay in the neo-natal intensive care which Children’s Hospital gave us full assistance for. I just had to change my children’s insurance because I couldn’t get my daughter’s prescription filled because it was deemed “unnecessary” by Molina. So now the kids are on Community Health of Washington. Who knows if it will be any better, I have to go to the pharmacy tomorrow to get it rebilled. If they won’t cover it, I’m going to have to pay out of pocket $111 for a freaking tube of cream to rub on her butt! Rediculous. I am so ready to go to a place that covers preventative health, alternative medicine, and maternity leave. I don’t care if I have to pay a ton in taxes… Paint me red and call me a socialist. I don’t care, I waive my private parts at your aunties.

If you haven’t seen Sicko yet, watch it. Forget it’s Michael Moore if you are a hater. It’s an issue that matters to all Americans! We have good insurance, and my homebirth, which is WAY cheaper than a hospital birth, was only covered at 50%. I can’t take my kids to the doctor I want to, and I can’t afford to get my daughter the allergy test she needs that is “elective”. Ahhh!
