30 Days of the Everyday

I'm undertaking a new project to keep me motivated with the photography. I really enjoyed my 25 days of Christmas I did in December (see my photography blog for the photos), so now I am doing 30 days of the everyday. That's right, insight into the normal day to day happenings of one Crunchy Mama.

Day 1: Laundered Diapers

Laundry. Ah, that never ending cycle. I recall once someone saying that past 3 kids you don't really add much work to your life, just more laundry. With just two kids... well, I don't want to think how much I'd be washing if I had 6 little ones! Generally, I do one load each day, though sometimes I skip a day or two and end up playing make up. I am terrible at getting laundry folded and put away! Well, folded, not so bad, but it generally ends up living in the basket in our room, folded but not put in the drawers. I really need to work on this, but I haven't found a good time! Ah well. Laundry is one of those chores I don't love, but I don't mind either. The diapers are exceptionally easy to fold and put away, because there's no sorting! I wash diapers about once every 5 days, if you were wondering. I have 3 dozen, and that amount seems to be just perfect: anymore, and they'd get too stinky in the pail, any fewer and i'd have to step up my laundering!

Little people clothing is such a pain because it's so small: a whole loads of kids clothing means a lot of folding compared to just my clothes. That's something you never think about until you are folding the three loads of clean clothes that have accumulated on your couch.
