Ali and I at my parents house on July 4th. We never see Ali's chin these days. He says he has the "professor beard". I say he gotten lazy. ;)
Here is my dad on 4th of July. I didn't realize that over the last 6 years my dad's hair has been drained of all it's color! He looks much younger here.
Ali, my brother Adam, their friend Donald, and my brother Kevin. Ah 4th of July and boys, a good day to blow stuff up. 2005:
Little Leila, 3.5 months old. She has some hair here, but I think it's the same exact amount she had until she was 2.
Oh no, caught in the act of disco dancing!!2006:
Poor Leila. That bump on her head was her first ER trip (well, I suppose her second if you count when we took her in to Children's at 30 hours old for her heart consult). She was being pulled around in the wagon and fell out. I will never forget the dull thudding sound her head made when it hit the sidewalk. She was fine of course, but I still feel guilty!
I think at this point she could already play badmitton about as well as I can. Which is not to say so much about her innate skill as my lack of such.2007:
This photo cracks me up. My mom on a skateboard is about the last thing in the world you'd expect to see. ;) I had forgotten about this until I came across it in the folder. I miss living so close to my mom, I imagine this is one of those times she came into town to go shopping and stopped by, maybe a Costco day.
Elyas with Ali on the 4th. I'd forgotten Elyas had any rolls. He started out as my smallest baby, but did chunk up more than Leila ever did.2008:
Mmmm, here's Elyas eyeing Nan's salsa. This makes me crave some, I suppose I will have to email Nan and ask for the recipe.
My Uncle David, golfing here in my parents' back yard. It's rare to get a shot of David where he's not making a face or flipping the bird.
I really like how this one of my dad came out. I wonder if he replaced his divot?
Little Elyas.
Strawberry picking with Grandma. Now that I am looking at these, I should have included the one of him digging into her basket. ;)
2009:
Ah, 4 years old and all about attitude. Not much has changed in the last year. *sigh*
