Leila now has training wheels on her bike, and she is quite good, pedaling quickly all over. I had been letting her ride with out training wheels, got a Balance Buddy, but she's just not ready. So training wheels it is while she gets a good handle on the feel of the bike, and we'll take them off later.
This week also brought a much watched for, but rather unwelcome visitor. Yep, Aunt Flo returned for her first visit in 25 months. I can't say I missed her. Fortunately she was not to rough on me... I just wish it could have lasted longer! And it sort of made me sad, like it symbolized my baby growing up enough that my body thinks I'm ready for another baby. I am soooooooooo not ready.
At Adam's birthday party I took photos of all of us and put them together for a family portrait. I'm fairly happy with the end result, but it took me ALL WEEK to do it... probably 4 hours fighting with photoshop, all told. Here it is:

And add having Ali home to that mix, and I've not been around much lately. It's nice to have him home and done. Now we have to start getting to the packing stuff... oh man, how I don't want to do this. It's such a daunting task!
I recently read a blog post about having only 100 things. I tell you, I love the concept of minimalism... until I start thinking about my book and fabric collections...I'm not willing to part with them! Still. The idea intrigues me, and I'm going to do some minimalizing while we pack our stuff to move!

I was just wondering where you had gone to! I checked your site yesterday evening thinking maybe my rss reader wasn't updating properly :)
When do you leave? Oh my gosh packing! But think about how much crap you get rid of when you move, so there are definite upsides.
Were there any changes in nursing patterns that precipitated Aunt Flo's return? Or do these things just sorta sneak up/happen? No AF here but I've got mirena so not to be expected.
The photo is awesome! I can't even figure out how you got everyone to the same scale and are they really those heights in relation to each other? The black and white is perfect for it.
And I would think that the 100 things would count collections as one 1 thing each - so 1 fabric collection, 1 book collection, only 98 more things to account for!
Well if collections count as 1 thing... then maybe I can do it! LOL!
On the photo, I took everyone's photo from the same distance, so that took care of scale. Height is not true... sort of had to go with where I chopped peoples arms off at (opps) You learn something everytime you do a project like this. I think next time: further back!
AF... ah... For a week before she came back I was starting to think I had nipple trauma. My nipples were just killing me everytime a kid nursed. Then AF showed up and I was like "duh!". I didn't notice ovulating, so I'm not sure if I did, but it wasn't watched for either. I have to buy a new basal thermometer, I can't find mine, it's been so long. Then back to charting to avoid conception!
We leave in early August. I hate moving, and I REALLY hate the idea of moving away from my family. :(
Amazing photo! Good luck packing!
