Leila saw it and was dying to get in it, but we had to tell her that she was too big, it was only strong enough to hold babies; and then we put it back in the basement for storage. A few days later I got it out again while Leila was napping, in order to prepare my lunch. i slid it to the side of the door frame but didn't take it down. After Leila woke up we went out on the porch to hang out, she hadn't even seen it. At some point Leila ran inside, I think for a glass of water, and this is what I discovered:

Oy!
Okay, tales of the little stinker. We switched Elyas from his bucket carseat to the Decathalon: he's too long for the bucket, and I was hoping he would enjoy the car more in a more comfortable seat. For the most part he does, but we still see this face more often than I like:

In his defense, this photo was taken at a fussy time of night (7ish). But he did manage to cry all the way home from Seattle today. :( Poor little stubborn guy, he barely had energy to fuss by the time we got home, but he kept it up the whole time! I don't know how parent's manage to "cry it out", but even if I was willing to try it (which i am 100% NOT EVER going to do), I think it would take hours and weeks to break this stubborn little man!
To add to that, I caught him making gangsigns after a shower yesterday. Do you think I should worry? ;)

it has never entered my mind to let our kiddos cry it out. i dont see any love in that action, and im sure you agree. it seriously makes me almost well up with tears when i hear olive (and previously auggie) cry hard and they won't calm down. not out of frustration but just out of a mamas love.
