A funny story to share

It's amazing how children pick up the vernacular language they are exposed to! Yesterday morning Leila was drawing a picture, and wanted to write her name on it. Or rather, wanted Ali to write her name on it, and he was encouraging her to write it herself. She was whining and yelling about it, saying she couldn't write it "small". Elyas was sitting next to her, and he said "you could write it big, Leila" to which she responded with a "NOOOOO ELYAS!", and he turned back to his breakfast and quietly muttered "whatevah". I swear, it was the funniest part of the day!

That's hilarious. Even funnier because I can't really imagine you or Ali saying this!
