This is the week from hell. Seriously. The truck got dropped off on Friday, we finished loading it yesterday. We have our walk through with our landlord tomorrow at 11. I'm not going to be there because I scheduled a massage for 1015 (sorry Ali *Wink* ). So we have to go over there in the morning to clean before she comes. *EEK* Packing has been freaking insane. Elyas keeps injuring himself. Friday I lost my wallet, left it on my mom's car hood and she thought she saw something blow off when she got on the freeway. I went and looked for it, but couldn't find it. My saint of a father found it the next day though, so I really lucked out there. Ali still hasn't received his employment verification from INS, even though he's supposed to have it by now.
Thursday our car start knocking between 2500-3000 rpms. I'd put oil in it recently, within a few weeks, but it was dry. So we put more oil in it and oil cleaner and made an appointment with the mechanic. Took it in today, and the dipstick was dry again! So there is a major oil leak and possibly a damaged rod which basically means a engine rebuild. I'll hear back from the mechanic in the morning, but chances are very good we're going to have to buy a new car to drive to Iowa. And of course, we don't have money for a new car right now! But we're going to go look at one tomorrow, a 97 Chrysler van for $3650... not a huge price, but that's a large chunk of what we had set aside for a down payment on a house.
Anyway, we are leaving next Monday morning, we have to do SOMETHING and fast. Which totally sucks.

Ohh, big hugs! And enjoy that massage while you can! :)
Remember just break everything down and take one piece at a time.
And oh yea remember to breath.
aw honey!! big hugs to you!! sounds like you guys are having a bout of bad luck. enjoy your massage and don't sweat the car. Everything will work itself out.
Just checking in and hoping things are going well. Please don't feel obligated to respond, just letting you know folks are thinking about you. We moved every couple of years when I was a kid so I'm thinking about all the exciting stuff about moving to a new place, but I'm sure the reality for my mother was way different than the excitement for kids. Good luck and hang in there!
