Lessons learned

When you are building a new business/trade you hit some bumps along the way. I hit one of these bumps at my shoot last weekend. Not a huge one, but certainly something to learn from.

It didn't go so well as the shoot I'd had the week before. First, I wasn't as clear with a plan. I don't know why I thought I could wing it... but I did. I need more experience before I can just wing it like that!

Second: lighting. Note: when using sidelighting as basically your only light, and a diffused one at that, you can't do it with two people! The "behind" person is in the shadows, and shadows mean noise.

I had so many noisy photos from the shoot. It was just not great. I will say that I did really well with never having met the people before. I was outgoing, friendly, and talkative! I surprised myself in that I wasn't even too nervous.
