Sunday's car events were apparently not enough. Today brought more action of the sort that you hope never to see. Today we were at Gramma and Grampa's, and Leila was helping Grampa make tacos. Or rather, she was standing on a chair, and leaning over the back to see what Grampa was retrieving from the refridgerator. Of course chairs are not balanced with this in mind, so over she went and I'm not sure exactly what she struck, but she put a tooth fully through her lip, and another one partially through. There was so much blood that initially I thought she had knocked out a tooth. Fortunately Gramma had popsicles in the freezer which stopped the bleeding after 2 pops. Poor girl handled it like a trooper, but of course I have had enough stress for one week (actually, I think I'm set for the month of October, thank you very much). Now I know why Gramma developed ulcers when we were young!
This, by the way, is precisely the reason I bough a Learning Tower for the kids! And yet it may have actually contributed to the accident - not directly, but because she has learned she can lean against the edge and peer into the fridge or what not, she hasn't learned to be careful.

Ouch!! Poor kiddo! The good news is they heal so quickly at this age. Max put his tooth through his tongue at about this age. I hope she gets lots of popsicles and ice cream while she recovers!!
Poor Leila! Saffi really misses her. She keeps asking if she is going to be where we are going. I hope things get easier for you soon!
