I went out and put chicken wire around the garden fence, hoping that will keep those little cotton tails out of my garden! I see the tips of some asparagus coming up! And the strawberries are all putting out some new leaves, the leaf buds on the honeyberries and the gooseberries are opening, and the honeysuckle too (glad I got to pruning that back over spring break!). I planted some broccoli, kale, swiss chard, spinach, rutabaga, turnips, carrots, pickling onion, and sugar snap peas this weekend as well. I am SO excited and ready for the growing season!
I even got around to making a fence-guard to keep balls from rolling down our driveway and into the street. I cannabalized the chicken run for the pvc for the frame and the fencing.
Friday we got Leila a bed frame for her bed, and I set it up in the corner of our room. I guess that was what she needed, because she willingly hops up after story and goes to sleep herself in her own bed. My baby is growing up!

And in other news, Jude has learned to say "hi" and give a little wave. We're getting some language with intention now! :)
